Fishing in Iceland

Take a short break and find peace and quiet on a beautiful lake, or catch fish in a nearby river. Having such direct contact with nature provides recovery time that is good for both the body and the soul. You can choose from thousands of trout and char fishing lakes and dozens of salmon rivers.

Also sea angling it is fantastic experience. The crystal clear air and the excitement of catching a fish in the happy company of first-timers and experienced fishermen makes this a must-do trip.
The most commonly caught fish are cod, haddock, pollock and catfish. If you are lucky, you might even catch a giant halibut!
